a place called home . . .

Birthdays are important occasions for me. I may not celebrate it with a big party every year, but I see to it that I spend it with my family. During a family member's birthday, I never fail to give them gifts. It is my way of remembering them on their birthday and saying my gratitude for being a part of my life. During the birthday of my sister, I gave her a pair of nice shoes that she dreams of having for the longest time. I really saw that glow in her face when she saw the gift. My kids always get toys from me during their birthdays. We all know how a simple toy can brighten up a child's day and make his birthday complete. I never had problems thinking what to give them. My only problem though is with my dad. Last year I gave him a set of tools because he loves fixing things around the house, this year I am thinking of what to give him. What do you think about a grandfather clock ? It is a unique piece of art that he can place at their living room. I am running out of ideas already because e is really not into material things. Hopefully he will ike the clock that I will give him on his birthday.
